Pecci Celestino Brunello Di Montalcino, Grapes: 100% Sangiovese

Pecci Celestino Brunello Di Montalcino 2011, The Wine Advocate scores 91 points.
The Celestino Pecci 2011 Brunello di Montalcino offers candied fruit aromas of cherry liqueur and crème de cassis. There is a distinctly sweet element to the bouquet that underlines those confectionary tones. Balsam herb and black licorice add more depth and finesse at the back. This Brunello presents a simple approach in terms of mouthfeel with bright acidity and pretty berry flavors. It offers a pretty interpretation of the vintage.

James Suckling 92
Celestino Pecci 2011 Brunello di Montalcino: a soft and juicy red with dried strawberry and cherry aromas and flavors. Full body, round tannins and a clean finish. Needs time to come together but impressive density of fruit for the vintage. Better in 2018.
